TIN LEG

TIN LEG
is an obscure American science fiction mini-series from 1986.

Consisting of 15 episodes, it is set in a dystopian future that is much like modern day Britain but with very 80s ‘futuristic’ clothes. The nameless main character to which the title refers, is a private detective/bounty hunter with a prosthetic, robotic (not tin) leg. We never learn how she came to have this incredible limb but we do become accustomed to discovering it’s many amazing and varied capabilities each episode. The series is one long story arc where our hero detective is trying to track down some crooked politician or other. Each action-packed, hour-long episode ends with a cliff-hanger that, it turns out, the leg always manages to save the day.
The entire series was created, written, developed and scripted by a 12 year old boy.
